How long is typical integration for new store?
The answer to this question varies from customer to customer. If you have a new store expect somewhere between 2-3 weeks. If it is existing store, customer is looking at implementation time of 3 weeks to 2 months.
Is Defender POS hardware required to purchase?
Defender POS hardware is required for purchase. You will not be able to run our software solution on regular PC or MAC. There are security and operational procedures in place to insure seamless sales. In addition, we heavily rely on secondary customer screen for electronic 4473, customer signup, live receipts and ads.
Can I finance my hardware portion of point of sale?
Yes you can, we offer special no interest payments for certain periods.
Can I operate firearms, archery, and sporting goods store at the same time?
Yes, our pos is meant to do exactly that!
Does Defender POS provide inventory management?
Defender POS has some of the most advanced functions when it comes to inventory management. We can also do Inventory Cycles, Perpetual Inventory, Send Stock, Receive Stock, Purchase Orders and Stock Forecasting and Valuations.
How good is your customer support?
Our customer support is our pride. We are always available and ready to help. In addition, customers love our insta-help button on all pos systems where team members are available to help you in seconds.
Do you integrate w/ Fastbound?
Yes, we do. You will have seamless integration between the two platforms.
Am I required to open and have Fastbound account?
Yes, you are required to open Fastbound account in addition to Defender POS. Fastbound is only required if you are selling firearms. Fastbound is a firearms compliance software that handles all of your ATF compliance, electronic 4473s, acquisitions, dispositions and Bound Books. Plans start at $9/month.
How hard is it to transfer my Bound Book (A&D)?
We will help you migrate fast no matter where your bound book is currently located. It always comes as a surprise that bound books are usually almost instant in transfer compared to normal products. You will not have any issues.
Do I need new credit card processing account?
Usually yes. We bring you latest in credit card terminal, ability to use multiple modifications like cash discounts and layaways that all require new merchant account. Credit Card terminals are usually delivered with your hardware order. We also add multiple features on your processing account like automatic reconciliation, dual charge blocks and other security related options.
Can I keep my current payment processor and rate?
The answer completely depends on you. While most of the time customers believe they got a great rate, there is always room for improvement. However, your processor must be willing to switch to us and be up to date. We have high standards and they have to match it.
Do you offer ability for cash discount or surcharge on checkout?
We certainly do among many other payment options and types.
Does Defender POS comes with eCommerce website?
As a customer you will get eCommerce website completely done and ready for sales. You will have the ability to change certain parts and modify your categories and products. You can see demo of the exact website you will get here: https://defenderposdemo.com/
Do you offer ecommerce website customization?
Yes, we do. Our team has completed some top level eCommerce websites and we are here to listen to your requests and ideas. We can do simple image changes to full ERP integration with Netsuite for example.
Can I run Defender POS system offline?
Yes, you can. However, it is not recommendable because you would be restricted. We do however offer service like 100% uptime guarantee options. But as of now, we have very extensive offline functionality, but we do not recommend using it because if you are down due to internet, you can not take payments efficiently anyway. You are capable of connecting to hotspot at anytime, so that is always a great fallback for the time being.
Do you have any limitation on users?
No we don't. We only have limitations on quantity of stores (warehouses)
Do you offer any wholesale firearms product feeds?
Yes we do. Currently we support Lipsey's, RSR Group, Sports South, Bill Hicks, Crow, Kroll, Chattanooga, Zanders, Davidsons, and others...
Where are Defender POS offices located?
Deep in the heart of Texas. Austin to be exact!
Do you support gift cards?
Yes we do, we will even make them for you. It is also cross usable between website and your physical location.
Do you offer loyalty and reward points?
Yes, absolutely. You can also use them online and in store.
Can you do Weapon Trades Ins?
We can do weapon or any other item trade ins. You can use our store credit, or cash them out if they change their mind. But all is seamless and we also do have special sections to show you tax that you must collect for all trade-ins.
